How It Goes

What working with us looks like

  • 1. You call. Describe what you are seeing. We ask the questions that narrow it down fast.
  • 2. We look. On site assessment: locate the system, check tank, pump and field.
  • 3. Straight estimate. Written scope and price. No surprise line items at the end.
  • 4. Permits handled. When the job needs county health department approval, we run it.
  • 5. We do the work. Our own excavators and crew, so the schedule holds.
  • 6. Backfilled and graded. We fill the excavation, level the ground and take our debris with us. Seeding and landscaping are left to you.
Common Questions

FAQ

How often should a septic tank be pumped?

For most households, every 3 to 5 years, and sooner for a small tank, a large family, or a system with a garbage disposal. If you cannot remember the last time, it is time. Call and we will help you work out a schedule for your tank size.

How do I know if my drainfield is failing?

Soggy or unusually green patches over the field, slow drains throughout the house, gurgling, sewage odor outside, or backups after heavy rain. Catching it early is often the difference between a repair and a full replacement.

Do you handle the permits?

Yes. New installations and most repairs go through the county health department, and we handle that process as part of the job.

Do you inspect systems for a home sale?

We do. If you are buying or selling in the area, we will inspect the system and give you a clear picture of condition, capacity and any correction costs.

Can you upgrade my system for an addition?

Often yes. Expanding from a three bedroom to a four bedroom system is one of the more common jobs we do. It depends on soil, lot size and setbacks, so it starts with a site visit.

What areas do you cover?

Ten counties across northeastern North Carolina: Currituck, Dare, Camden, Pasquotank, Chowan, Gates, Hyde, Beaufort, Tyrrell and Pitt. We also work across the line into southeastern Virginia. Call if you are not sure about your address.

Not sure which service you need?

Describe the symptoms and we will tell you what is likely going on, and what it should cost to fix. No charge for the conversation.
